Blobify
Blobify is a simple tool to create beautiful, customizable blob shapes for your design projects.
Use it to generate SVG or PNG blobs with various styles, colors, and gradients.
- Smooth mode: Original B-spline algorithm with natural randomness
- Cutout mode: Sharp angular edges with straight line segments
- Metaball mode: Soft, rounded metaball-style blob shapes
- Splash mode: Noise-based organic variation with flowing curves
- Wiggly mode: Ultra-smooth organic curves with structured variation
- Blot mode: Ink blot-inspired shapes with organic asymmetry and natural flow
- Wavy mode: Sinusoidal wave-based shapes with configurable frequency, phase, and offset parameters
- Flower mode: Parametric flower shapes with smooth spiro spline curves and configurable rays and radii
- Star mode: Sharp star shapes with configurable points and inner radius
- Randomized Star mode: Star shapes with randomized outer and inner point distances for more organic, irregular star patterns
- Blobby mode: Animated organic shapes using tileable noise for seamless, flowing movement
- Superformula mode: Versatile abstract forms from the superformula
- Rose mode: Petal-like rotational symmetry using rose curves
- Orbit mode: Lissajous-like orbital modulations for elegant contours
- Cellular mode: Quantized noise bands for cell-like faceting
- Ridged Noise mode: Ridged noise profiles for sharp crests
- Trochoid mode: Hypo/epi-trochoid parametric loops with smooth flow
You can customize colors, apply gradients, adjust complexity, and more to create the perfect blob for your needs.
User Guide
Getting Started
- When you first open Blobify, a random blob is generated automatically.
- Click on the blob shape in the preview area to generate a new random blob.
- Use the settings panel to customize your blob.
Shape & Style
- Select a Blob Style from the dropdown menu:
- Smooth - creates soft, organic shapes with natural randomness
- Cutout - creates angular shapes with straight edges
- Metaball - creates fluid-like organic shapes
- Splash - creates dynamic, splash-like shapes
- Wiggly - creates ultra-smooth organic curves with structured variation
- Blot - creates ink blot-inspired shapes with organic asymmetry
- Wavy - creates sinusoidal wave-based shapes with frequency and phase controls
- Flower - creates parametric flower shapes with configurable rays and inner/outer radii
- Star - creates sharp star shapes with configurable points and inner radius
- Randomized Star - creates star shapes with randomized outer and inner point distances for more organic, irregular patterns
- Blobby - creates animated organic shapes with tileable noise for seamless, flowing movement
- Adjust Complexity to control the number of points in your blob (higher values create more intricate shapes).
- Adjust Blobiness to control how irregular or smooth your blob is.
- Use Size to adjust how much of the canvas your blob fills.
- Use Rotation to turn your blob at any angle.
- Add Blur to create a softer, more diffused look.
- Click the Generate New Blob button to create a new random shape while keeping your settings.
Color & Fill Options
- In the Color section, choose the Appearance:
- Fill - colors the inside of the blob
- Stroke - only colors the outline (adjust Stroke Weight to control thickness)
- Select a Fill Type:
- Solid - single color fill
- Linear - gradient from one side to another
- Radial - gradient radiating from center
- Choose colors with the color pickers or enter hex codes manually.
- For gradients, you can enable an Intermediate Color to create three-color gradients.
- Adjust gradient positioning, angle, and scale with the sliders that appear based on your gradient type.
Exporting Your Blob
- In the Export section, choose either:
- Download SVG - for scalable vector format (best for web use and further editing)
- Download PNG - for raster image format (best for direct use in designs)
- For PNG export, set your desired resolution in the PNG Export Size field or use the preset buttons.
- Toggle Remember Settings to save your preferences between sessions.
- Use Reset to defaults to return all settings to their original values.
Tips & Shortcuts
- Double-click on any slider to reset it to its default value.
- Use the theme toggle button in the top-right corner to switch between light and dark mode.
- Click on sections in the sidebar to collapse or expand them.
- Use the zoom controls under the preview to get a closer look at your blob.

End User License Agreement
By using Blobify, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. License Grant
Arseny Samolevsky grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Blobify for personal and commercial projects.
2. Ownership
Blobify is owned by Arseny Samolevsky and is protected by copyright laws. You acknowledge that you have no ownership rights in the software.
3. User Content
All blob designs created using this tool are your property. You may use them in any personal or commercial project without attribution.
4. Restrictions
You may not: (a) modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on Blobify source code; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble Blobify source code; (c) claim ownership or remove any proprietary notices or labels on Blobify.
5. No Warranty
Blobify is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Arseny Samolevsky be liable for any damages whatsoever arising out of the use of or inability to use Blobify, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Term and Termination
This license is effective until terminated. Arseny Samolevsky reserves the right to terminate your license to use Blobify at any time.
8. Governing Law
This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Arseny Samolevsky resides.
